Instructions for joining the CCCSC Google Group

1. Click on the Google Groups link above or here
2. Select ‘Sign in and apply for membership’
3. Select 'Create an account now'
4. Create an account by completing the form
   • For your nickname enter your name or initials
   • Select 'I accept. Create my account.'
5. Use the back button to return to the previous page and select the Google Groups icon
6. In the search box, enter 'CCCSC'
7. Select 'Search Groups'
8. Select ‘Welcome to the CCCSC Google Group’ or ‘Canberra Cross Country Ski Club’
9. Select 'Sign into Google Groups' and enter email address and password
10. You will be presented with a page that says:
    

    You cannot view the group's content or participate in the group because you are not currently a member. Members must be approved before joining.

11. Select ‘Sign in and apply for Membership’
12. You will be presented with a page that asks you:
    • How you want emails sent to you
    • What you want as a nickname on the site
    • If you are currently a CCCSC financial member
    Fill this in and the moderator of the site will receive an email with your membership request. This should be approved in a day or two at the most, depending on whether the moderator is off skiing or not!
13. When you are emailed your approval you can:
    • Go to CCCSC Google Groups
    • Select ‘Sign in to Google Groups’ (in the centre) or ‘Sign in’ (in the top right-hand corner)
    • Enter email address and password

Once you are into the group, you can modify information about yourself, and you will be able to add a photo icon that appears next to anything you write, which is great for new members to get to know who is talking in the forums.
